Putien is a humble Chinese restaurant, which serves tasty, simple, yet heart-warming comfort food. No doubt they have many outlets in Asia, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Guangzhou. Until now, they only have one outlet in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta at Sawah Besar area. Good news for you is they've just renovated their restaurant and changed their concept to be more modern.
Infusion (35k). Nature's goodness plus soursop. It's such a refreshing and surely healthy drink!
Shredded Meat with Bun (28k/ 2pcs). You're given 2 choices for the meats: chicken or pork. Mine was the pork one. The bun was quite fluffy, with lots of sesame on the top of it (I didn't know why!). I like the shredded pork, it was tender and delish. As you can see on my picture, they put lots of onions instead of the meat.
Hotplate Beancurd (68k S, 98k M). I ordered the small size and it came with 6 slices of the beancurd. I have to admit that I love their beancurd so damn much! The texture was very soft, bland, and fluffy, along with savory sauce. A must-try dish!
Spinach with Salted Egg & Century Egg in Supreme Stock (58k S, 85k M). The soft and tender Chinese spinach is first stir-fried on high heat for flavor, then stewed in rich supreme-stock mix of century egg and salted egg to give it a burst of flavour. The taste was a bit too savory because of the eggs, but it was delicious at the same time. I ordered the small size and it was enough for 2-3 persons.
Deep Fried Chicken with Garlic (98k half, 188k whole). Honestly I was surprised with the generous portion, I ordered the half portion and I thought it's suitable for 3-4 persons. The chicken was deep fried into perfection, crispy outside and juicy yet tender inside. This is totally a worth-to-try dish at Putien.
Deep Fried Durian Puree (38k). 100% durian puree, deep fried until outside crispy and inner icy cold, immersed with the exotic flavours of durian. I could taste the durian very well and it has delightful taste! Trust me.
