Blackpond Tavern is the newest establishment from Biko Group, that own Beer Garden, PaoPao, Fujin, Lola, Pippo, Beer Hall, Mother Monster, Duck Down, etc. No doubt, their new concept is brilliant, adding a great place to chill in Jakarta. Bringing the old American log cabin style, this place successfully made me feel like not in Jakarta. From the entrance, you'll be greeted with cowboy hat- and other country vibes decoration. The interior was dominated with wooden things, starts from the table till the wall. This bar opens everyday from 4pm, so if you'd like to take a picture, better come earlier!

Quiznos is a famous franchised fast-food restaurant based in Denver, Colorado USA which specializes in toasted sub sandwiches. In Indonesia, they currently have 3 outlets located at Menteng, Rawamangun, and Supermall Karawaci. Last weekend, I got a chance to try this 'second largest' submarine sandwich shop chain in USA- after Subway at the Menteng outlet. Let's check this out!

GOOD NEWS! The newest establishment by Cacaoté group, Social Affair is definitely a newly perfect place for brunch located at PIK area. So if you've visited Cacaoté before, you will think about fancy and classy things, but here is totally different. Social Affair (what an unique name!) is a casual & cozy place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even dinner with homey ambience.

Hard Rock Café isn't a new comer, it's famous for its unique restaurant theme, as a hard-rock music café. Honestly that was my first time visiting them at Pacific Place, since it used to be located at the closed shopping mall; EX Plaza Indonesia. My first impression was that the café is quite spacious with lots of rock music things and decoration, also a live music stage with drums and instruments.

A simple 'Lunner' at Monolog. If you're wondering what's the meaning of 'Lunner', if you know what 'Brunch' means, then you probably guess Lunner means between Lunch and Dinner. Yep, you got it right! After having lunch at shopping mall, I often walk around in hours only to do shopping, then when I feel a bit tired, I'll go for coffee, sometimes plus a meal for Lunner. Let's see what I got for my Lunner at Monolog :

Hot Latte with additional Hazelnut flavor (30k + flavor 10k). My favorite coffee at Monolog, I found it's very interesting for its coffee here, that we can request for additional flavor to your coffee. Ehm, yes, because I'm neither a coffee lover nor coffee expert so I might not taste a strong coffee. My hot latte with hazelnut flavor saved my day! No need to add sugar!

Eggs Benedict with Beef Ham (80k). Toasted English muffin with poached eggs and a selection of protein (Beef ham or Smoked salmon) served with house salad. The portion was quite generous, especially the house salad. Unfortunately, the house salad was a bit lack of dressing, so it became quite dry. The combination between the toasted muffin, runny poached egg, and beef ham were great! Honestly, I didn't really like the sauce, but it was still okay, and I do love seeing the runny eggs!

Hello 2015! This is my very first review in 2015. Burgerous- Burgers & More. From its name, I beg you'll know that it's a burger joint. Yes, Burgerous is a newly opened burger joint with unique concept which is different with other burger joint. Located at Taman Ratu area, I think this place is full-packed at lunch and dinner time, since its location at the strategic Taman Ratu road, near some schools and housing complex. If you're in Taman Ratu area, you should notice this eye-catching yellow 'B' sign, combined with minimalist black. Anyway, let's check out their delicacies :

There's a new member of Puri neighbourhood, called The Fctry Bistro & Bar. They've just opened since the beginning of June. I was curious about this place, because I saw many people posted photos in instagram about this place. The interior is designed with factory atmosphere, as you can see on their tables&chairs, high ceiling, wall decoration with machine stuffs, open kitchen, etc. Curious about their food? Minute Steak (90k). Thinly sliced medium rib eye steak served with creamy mushrooms and crispy potato latkes (don't know the exact name). I love how the rib eye steak is sliced thinly, it maked me easier to eat because I'm wearing braces rite now! The steak is pretty delicious, juicy and tender. The creamy mushrooms and the crispy potato latkes were okay. I couldn't find anything wrong with this, maybe just the portion isn't too big. FYI, this is their brunch menu. Well, I think they were doing great for this dish! Well done :9

Aglio Olio (80k). Classic aglio olio served with crispy bacon. Aglio olio will always has a space in my heart, it's one of my comfort food- whenever I come to a restaurant, I usually order it. In here, I find this is a great dish. The spaghetti was cooked well, not overcooked and certainly tasty. I like the crispy bacon much! In my opinion, this aglio olio's portion is more generous than the minute steak. Unfortunately, it was a little bit too oily for me. But, worth to try though :)

Chocolate Lava Cake (38k). Chocolate lava cake served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Me likey this so much! Even though the chocolate cake wasn't baked perfectly- it wasn't really melting, but the taste isn't doubtful! Believe me, this is so good as you can see on the mouth-watering photo. I just couldn't stop eat this seriously, I really enjoyed the sensation of the mix of the choco cake and the ice cream. YUM!

Overall, I enjoyed my lunch time here. They serve decent food and the place is quite nice. But one thing you have to know, I was surprised that the place is very small, not like as seen on many photos *effect of the high ceiling. Luckily, the food were great! I came here at lunch time and since the place is small, I had to be on the waiting list and it took quite long to wait. My advice, you come here on weekdays or earlier before lunch/dinner time. Because the place is newly open so many people will pay a visit to try. About the service, hmm maybe because the place isn't big they only employ some waiters- understandable but it affects the slow service for customers. They should give attention to that. The prices of the food are a little bit pricey for the area. Lastly, I think I will come back to try another dish: their famous crispy pork belly :P

I wasn't really familiar with Kemang area, but I got a dining voucher at Nutmeg Cuisine & Bar and I had a chance to pay a visit. It wasn't hard to find it, since it's located at the Kemang Raya road. The entrance was so vintage yet eye-catching. Let's take a look at what I ordered :

Jakarta Food Truck is happening right now! I've seen them on many medias, such as social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and TV. Then, I saw their instagram's post that they'll be at Lippo Mall Puri St. Moritz- the newest shopping mall in West Jakarta. Yeyyy! It's near from my house. So I went there few days ago. FYI, they'll park their food truck only from July 1-July 5, 2014 at Lippo Mall Puri's Lobby. The next stop? Scroll-down for more info ;) Anyway, here are the fooood!

Nasi JFT Komplit (around 28k). Nasi gurih, teri pedas, telor ceplok, semur daging, sambal fishball, and acar. The rice is cooked-well, but not really savory for me. The teri pedas and sambal fishball are pretty delicious. What I like the most is the semur daging, it's juicy and tender, and also... delish! Can you see the melting egg yolk? YUM. The portion is basically quite generous. Well, I've to tell you that Indonesian food are the best, even though they don't look good, but the tastes can't go wrong! :9
