Kabuto Mazesoba is a new comer for soba specialist in our lovely city, Jakarta. Maybe they're not the first, but it doesn't mean they couldn't be the best! As we know, ramen attack happened for the past few years and it seems that it's not popular anymore. Now, I guess soba is the newest phenomenon for Japanese cuisine! From what I got from Google, abura soba and mazesoba are very similar, but usually mazesoba has more toppings than abura. Both are served in a bowl and mixed with tare (type of sauce made from shoyu). In order to make it better, you can add chili oil and vinegar as your liking and mix them very well and enjoy it while it's hot!

The wait is over! World's cheapest Michelin-starred meal; Liao Fan Hawker Chan - Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle has finally opened in Jakarta. It's originally from Singapore, brought by Hersing Culinary who also manage Tim Ho Wan to Jakarta. A short story about Liao Fan Hawker Chan, it was first established as a humble hawker stall that now has to be the world's cheapest Michelin-starred meal, which managed by Chef Chan Hon Meng. In late 2016, the chef-owner partnered with Hersing Culinary to open a new casual dine-in outlet in Chinatown area. Now, you don't have to go to Singapore to enjoy it!

Sushi...Go! The first one-price sushi restaurant finally opened in Jakarta! Yes, everything is IDR 15k per plate! Located at PIK Avenue Mall, just beside the Dotonburi area, this nice concept one-price sushi restaurant should not be missed. Not only because it's affordable, but also you can eat as much as you want without worry. The restaurant's modern minimalist interior was dominated with wooden things and yellow color. There's also sushi bar right in front of your seat.

Introducing the first molten cheesecake in town! Kibo cheesecake. Yep, the cheesecake phenomenon became the talk of the town recently, with many brands popping out.
Kibo cheesecake has 2 creations : Original molten cheesecake & Matcha molten cheesecake which come with different sizes.
Kibo Large : Original molten (175k) & Matcha molten (190k).
Kibo Mini : Original molten (30k) & Matcha molten (35k).
*For kibo mini they have special sharing package 4pcs for 100k
The cheesecake's texture was soft and fluffy outside, creamy yet moist inside. When I bought the cheesecake, it wasn't melted inside, so I suggest you to enjoy it at home with reheating it in microwave. It has a pretty rich flavor and flavorful aroma.

Honestly, I couldn't distinguish all the cheesecake or cheesetart flavors because they tasted similar.
For my tastebud, I prefer the lighter cheesecake.

Few days ago, I got a chance to visit Nocturnal at PIK area, an owl-themed restaurant with rustic decoration. The place itself was divided into 2 section; first with natural light and instagrammable wall and the second one with dim lights which represented 'nocturnal' theme. I do love the hanging sweet yet fluffy pink roses along with the bird cages. So cool!

Ivy, located at the Brawijaya street, not far from the Dharmawangsa, I would say this is such a hidden gem for you who's looking for a casual yet intimate place to have lunch, dinner, or just chill for a drink. They serve a wide variety of Asian, Indonesian, and Western food. The place might not be spacious, however I like the ambience here and I think you'd better make a rsvp especially for dinner. At first glance, I thought this was a semi fine dining restaurant, but I was wrong, it's basically a casual dining place which 'looks' like a fine dining one. Let's start from their interior which mostly decorated with wooden things.
