Plataran Hutan Kota - GBK Senayan

The long-awaited Central Park of Jakarta? Do you believe that? Yes, as a new brilliant establishment from Plataran Group, it's considered as the Central Park of JAKARTA! Bringing Indonesian home cooking to the next level, Plataran celebrates our nation's cultural diversity, culinary heritage, and natural beauty. Definitely a great place you don't wanna miss this year end!

Welcome snack (free). Nice potato chips, not like the ordinary Lays :)

Ayam Hutan Kota (149k). Roasted chicken served with spicy pickles and fried garlic. The chicken meat was easy to cut, tender enough with lots of fried garlic on top. The texture was dry yet crispy, along with nice chilli and hint of the fried garlic. Good to share with warm white rice.

Nasi Goreng GBK (99k). Indonesian style fried rice served with prawn, black kalamata olive, charsiu chicken, fried shallot, chasew, melinjo crackers. As you can see from the pics, it has darker presentation than the ordinary fried rice, because they also use black kalamata olive. Anyway it's kinda unique because they use chasew nuts on it. For the taste, it was pretty decent, savory enough with various fillings.

Sate ayam (95k). Grilled chicken skewer with peanut sauce. It only consists of 5 pcs of satay. I like eating satay with lots of peanut sauce which covered all parts of the meat, for me this was quite lack of sauce. Unfortunately, the chicken wasn't really tender, maybe because of the thickness of the meat.

Overall, I might say this is gonna be a very famous place in Jakarta. Even though the price was a bit pricey, but I think it's quite worth it since they use high quality ingredients for the food, moreover with nice presentation and semi fine-dining concept. They seriously want to introduce Indonesian home cooking as culinary heritage combined with elegant interior. I do love the ambience which suitable for any special occasion and there's lot of instagrammable spots here with great natural light. I've heard they need only 90 days to build the first venue where I had lunch today, called Plataran Tiga Dari. Basically they have 3 venues with 2 coming soon venues : Plataran Tiga Dari, Melati Glass House (for wedding or other event venue), and Pidari Coffee Lounge (coffee lounge with rooftop). So I'll come back and waiting for the upcoming two venues. Good luck Plataran!
