Soup Restaurant is a Chinese heritage restaurant from Singapore. They serve local, authentic, classic, and healthy Chinese food recipes that incorporate Chinatown ambience. In the 1950s to 1970s, there were many renowed teahouse in Chinatown. Back then, enjoying a cup of hot tea with a couple of dimsum dishes was a daily ritual for the folks of Singapore Chinatown. At the new concept of Soup Restaurant PIM outlet named "Teahouse by Soup Restaurant", they served a variety of Nanyang flavor dimsum, such as "4 beauties", "Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf" and more. Let's check 'em out now!

Here are the special Dimsum menu called "4 Beauties". Unfortunately, I only manage to try 3 of them because one dish was sold out.

Red Bean Rose Bao (35k). A rose-shaped bao with red bean filling. The presentation was very cute: a rose-shaped bao! Anyway, it has a very soft & fluffy texture.

Samsui Xiao Long Bao (35k). This was one of my favorite! The XLB was so good with rich taste filling. I do really love the rich broth inside.

Samsui Ginger Bao (35k). Another my favorite! The samsui ginger bao was delish, came with rich yet flavorful taste and a hint of ginger. The bao texture was soft yet pillowy.

Another delicious creation :

Ha Gao (33k). The ha gao was nice with fresh prawn inside.

Steam Beancurd Skin Roll (30k). The beancurd skin roll was nice too, but I think the size was a bit too small.

Siew Mai (33k). Many chinese restaurant used frozen siew mai for efficiency, but here I found a freshly made siew mai with unique taste. Good job!

Samsui Venison Bao (35k). If you haven't tried venison before, maybe you should try this one! The venison meat tastes like beef, but more dense and chewy. It was cooked very well and believe me you won't regret to try it.

Longevity Bao - Lotus Paste (35k). It's such a beautiful bao, came with lotus paste filling.

Salted Egg Bao (32k). Another my favorite! The bao texture was soft outside and when it came to my mouth- the melting salted egg tasted so yummeh.

Crab Rangoon (35k). An unique shaped dumpling with crab and cheese filling. It was crispy enough with tasty filling, but for myself the skin outside was a bit too thick.

Beancurd Skinroll with Prawn (32k). I always ordered this whenever I ate dimsum, it was crispy enough but the filling was a bit too salty for my tastebud.

Samsui Chicken Noodle (48k). Another new noodle dish from Soup Restaurant with their signature samsui chicken. The chicken was steamed without much seasoning but still taste good, perfectly mixed with the noodle.
