Kabuto Mazesoba

Kabuto Mazesoba is a new comer for soba specialist in our lovely city, Jakarta. Maybe they're not the first, but it doesn't mean they couldn't be the best! As we know, ramen attack happened for the past few years and it seems that it's not popular anymore. Now, I guess soba is the newest phenomenon for Japanese cuisine! From what I got from Google, abura soba and mazesoba are very similar, but usually mazesoba has more toppings than abura. Both are served in a bowl and mixed with tare (type of sauce made from shoyu). In order to make it better, you can add chili oil and vinegar as your liking and mix them very well and enjoy it while it's hot!
Nobunaga (55k). Mazesoba served with pork chasiu, bamboo shoot, corn, and seaweed. You should add soft boiled egg (12k) as additional topping. There are 3 selection sauce : original, sweet, and spicy. I ordered the spicy one and fortunately it wasn't too spicy, the soba texture was great along with the superb flavorful pork chasiu! So juicy yet tender with well-balanced sauce. Recommended!
Gyotie (35k). The gyoza was well-grilled and delicious, but came with small size.
Hanbe (R 78k; S 47k). Beef kalbi rice which served with soft boiled egg, seaweed, fried garlic, and green onions. I suggest you to order the regular size while the small size is served without soft boiled egg. You are allowed to request for the meat doneness and this time I asked the medium well. Unfortunately, as you can see on the picture, it's overcooked- well done, so the beef wasn't juicy and tender enough.
