3 places to visit around Glodok Kota Pancoran

Strolling around Glodok Kota Pancoran would be a great idea to do. Not only popular for its Jakarta's Chinatown, but also we can easily find food heaven here even see many historical and vintage buildings. So I was there only for a couple hours and I visited 3 places that I think worth to visit : Pantjoran Tea House, Kopi Es Tak Kie, and Kopi Oey Candranaya.
1. Pantjoran Tea House
First look at the building's tea house, instantly fell in love seriously! The old building is so cool yet historical and authentic. Consisting of two floors, I suggest you to have a table on the 2nd floor whereas 1st floor is for smoking area and semi-outdoor. At the 2nd floor they use air conditioner don't worry! and the natural lighting is brilliant for taking a picture. I ordered the hot tea selection: kwan in tea - served in a pot and free refill. The tea tasted light but flavorful. I also ordered the light snacks: fried beancurd skin roll with prawn and BBQ chicken bun. Overall everything was delicious and I could taste the Chinese old style flavor. However, the portion was a bit too small for common dimsum size. The interior is classic, vintage, so authentic. Love to have a tea time here!

2. Kopi Es Tak Kie
The legend. Kopi Es Tak Kie is very legendary and must be visited if you're around the area. I ordered the iced coffee with milk, I could taste the coffee but not too strong. At here, you can try their Chinese mixed rice and noodles. When I came around 12pm, unfortunately the mixed rice was sold out so I managed to order the noodle. Surprisingly the noodle was decent, came with kampoeng chicken and has chewy texture. I think I should try the mixed rice next time. Many people said it was good. The place wasn't really big. The location is exactly at Gang Gloria.

3. Kopi Oey Candranaya
First of all, I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of my food here, at Kopitiam Oey because my battery was empty. Kopitiam Oey has several outlets in Jakarta, but I think the Candranaya outlet was totally unique and different. Located at a complex of the old Candranaya building, it sandwiched between 2 modern buildings, such as Novotel hotel and Green Central City. I enjoyed my food there, especially the nasi goreng kampoeng and sego ireng. My tips for you are, to take a picture in front of the Kopi Oey signboard and visit the Candranaya building next to Kopi Oey. As you can see on the pictures, the Candranaya building was historical, authentic, and instagrammable! The building is dominant with black, white, and gold colors, so vintage!
